A rare gem from the early 1950s, the AV Egoist chaise longue, beloved by Danish architect and designer Arne Vodder (1926-2009), was revived by Sibast Furniture. Collaborating with Michael Vodder, Arne Vodder's son, Sibast Furniture has meticulously recreated this iconic piece using old drawings and measurements. Available in walnut or FSC-certified oak finishes and a range of woven shoulder leather colors, including black, brandy, and nature, the chaise longue can be paired with a headrest cushion and a side table crafted with brass and solid oak or walnut.

Since 1908, our heritage has been intertwined with Danish design, craftsmanship, and family legacy. It began with Helge Sibast, who learned his craft in a rural Danish carpentry shop under his father's guidance. Through generations, Helge honed his skills and developed his own designs. By the 1950s and 60s, he had established a flourishing furniture factory, exporting his creations worldwide.

In 1953, Helge Sibast introduced the iconic Sibast No 8 dining chair, which quickly became a symbol of Danish Modern design worldwide. Today, this design classic has been revitalized by the fourth generation of the Sibast family, embodying timeless elegance and exceptional craftsmanship. Crafted with care from responsibly sourced wood, Sibast No 8 represents our commitment to sustainability and quality.

Continuing Helge's legacy, we meticulously craft each piece, honoring our tradition of excellence in furniture craftsmanship.
